Ameer and I didnt really know what to do after finding out the good news. I did some research and I know it was quite early for an ultrasound scan. We needed an official confirmation though, at least by a professional. I had also told a few of my close friends about it, and they told me to just go to the doctor to confirm. I mean, they would probably do a urine test or something. I dont know. We just needed something. And we both didnt know who to ask because we didnt want to tell our families and none of my close friends are pregnant yet. Finally, we decided to just go to a clinic that seems pretty legit by the look of it. However, to our disappointment, the doctor was quite 'uninterested' with us. We were in the room for 3 minutes tops, where she told us that its pretty early to check anything and told us to come back in 2 weeks time. well, hello miss. It's our first time here, can you assure us with something at least. She gave us some folic acid and that was that. I can get a bunch of folic acid for rm10 from the drugstore you know? So, we had no choice but to wait for another 2 weeks.
On the first day of the 7th week, I was already feeling terrible. Was bloated, dizzy and just uncomfortable. I threw up for the first time before dropping Ameer off at the office, and he decided to take the day off because my head was spinning, I couldnt even drive home myself. It was really bad from then onward. I seriously didnt feel like getting out of bed. Been reading a lot on the internet too. Because of the horrible sickness, I had to tell my family. We are living under the same roof so it was going to be hard to keep a secret when I'm always puking. That very weekend, we attended a birthday party. I remember feeling so dizzy but it was a family event and Ameer didnt want to miss it. was quite cranky and felt like skipping it all together. Everyone realized that I was sick. Was also looking so pale because I couldnt really eat anything. But after a while, I was feeling better. After the event, I got worried because I suddenly dont feel sick anymore. And with all the things I was reading on the internet, I started to get a little panicky. We were on the way to Ameer's family house and stopped by a little clinic we found. I was two days shy of 8 weeks at that moment. Ameer asked if it was possible for a scan and the doctor gladly welcomed us in. That was the day I saw the sac. and the yolk sac. No solid baby yet, but that was the confirmation we needed. The charges were quite cheap too. It was only rm45. Normal scans usually go up to a hundred bucks. We were very pleased and contented to at least know something =).
here's our first ever ultrasound scan. nothing much, but the sac is visible.
